The detection principle of an addressable system is similar to that of a conventional system. Each detector is given a set address (usually by a dip-switch) and the control panel is able to determine exactly which detector or call the location the alarm was started on. .
3. Intelligent Fire Alarm Systems
However, in our next type of intelligent fire alarm system, each detector effectively integrates its own computer that effectively assesses the surroundings. And communicates to the control panel whether a fire, error or detector head needs cleaning.
Essentially intelligent systems have many more features than traditional or addressable systems. Their primary purpose is to prevent the occurrence of false alarms.
4. Wireless fire alarm systems
The last method we will consider is the wireless fire alarm system.
These methods are an effective alternative to traditional wired fire alarm systems for all applications.
